New private hospital in Camposol urbanisation opens its doors

The opening of the new Hospital del Guadalentín in the Camposol urbanisation in Mazarrón starts with a 24-hour Emergency Department
As announced on the hospital’s Facebook page and regional Spanish media, the Hospital del Guadalentín, the new private hospital located in Camposol in Mazarrón, although an official opening ceremony is not for some weeks, the hospital started its activity on August 5 with the opening of the 24-hour Emergencies Department, the only one in an area which in the summer months sees the population increase to 300,000 inhabitants due to tourism in the catchment area.
The hospital’s Medical Director, Yolanda Morales, highlighted the "great positive impact" that the opening of the hospital and the emergency service will generate, especially during the summer season, since the population of the coastal area such as Mazarrón multiplies.
Dr. Morales highlighted the wide range of services they will provide, as well as "the cutting-edge technology we have that will be in the hands of the best professionals, a medical team of more than fourty specialists who are national benchmarks in their different disciplines".
Hospital Emergency Service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
The Emergency area will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year uninterruptedly from Monday, August 5. The service for users includes radiodiagnostic equipment such as CT scans, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography and magnetic resonance scans (MRI). In addition, they have a laboratory, clinical analysis, blood bank and pharmacy. "It is an emergency service that covers all the emergencies that the residents of the area may need," said Yolanda Morales.
Da Vinci, latest surgical technology
The Hospital del Guadalentín will also offer the first private medical centre in the Region of Murcia to incorporate the Da Vinci robotic surgery system. This advanced surgical technology is minimally invasive and allows more precise and less traumatic interventions to be performed for patients, significantly reducing recovery time.
Multiple medical services with accessible locaton
With a team of more than 40 national specialists in General Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology, Emergency area will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, more than 20 medical and surgical specialties, multilingual services for international patients, as well as being the first private hospital in the Region of Murcia to incorporate the Da Vinci surgical robot. This advance will allow for more precise and less invasive interventions, improving patients' recovery.
Strategically located next to the RM3 motorway, in the Camposol development, the hospital will also create more than 150 direct and 100 indirect jobs, dynamising the local economy.
