Medical Director and key management appointed for new Camposol private hospital

As the Camposol private hospital gets ready to open, the Medical Director and key management have been appointed

The Guadalentín Hospital of the Mederi Salud Group, situated in the Camposol urbanisation, which will open its doors before the summer, has announced the appointment of Dr. Yolanda Morales Marín as the new Medical Director of the centre. Furthermore, it has also been reported that José Javier Aranda Lorca has been appointed as Director of Hospital Management, a position which she has already performed in the main hospitals of the Region of Murcia.

Doctor Morales Marín has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Murcia, she is a specialist in Family and Community Medicine and has a master's degree in Management and Organisation of Hospitals and Health Centres.

After her appointment she expressed her satisfaction at joining this new project. “Leading the management of a Hospital like Guadalentín is a great challenge that I face with the benefit of the experience after four years managing the largest University Clinical Hospital in the Region, the Virgen de La Arrixaca, in a time that was, furthermore, especially hard, since we lived through the entire pandemic at the head of management. Starting a medical centre from scratch, is a great task of many months of work. Luckily, we will have a great team of specialists and the most advanced techniques in surgery, which will position us at the pinnacle of the private centres in the Mediterranean area."

Another of the positions in the management of the centre already confirmed is that of José Javier Aranda, who has already started working as Director of Management of the Guadalentín Hospital.

Aranda has extensive experience in centre administrative management positions in hospitals in the Region of Murcia such as Arrixaca, Reina Sofía, Rosell de Cartagena or the Virgen del Castillo de Yecla Regional Hospital. Upon his appointment, he expressed the excitement generated by starting this centre from the beginning. “It is an honour to be able to take the first steps prior to opening in a hospital that we are certain will be at the medical forefront in Murcia. Furthermore, it is especially satisfactory that the hospital has cutting-edge technology in the region. All residents in the catchment area will have a referral hospital very close to their homes.”

Another of the appointments to the management team that the Mederi Salud Group has announced has been that of the new Director of Nursing, Sonia Méndez Melgares, a professional with ten years of experience working in clinical centres and hospitals in Norway, United Kingdom and Spain.

About the Guadalentín Hospital

The Guadalentín Hospital, located in the Camposol Urbanisation in the municipality of Mazarrón, is managed by the Mederi Health Group. After its opening, the health complex will have a 24-hour emergency room open 365 days a year, two hospitalisation floors with 36 admission beds, and a surgical area equipped with four state-of-the-art operating rooms.

The Hospital will offer health care in more than twenty medical specialties and surgical procedures, in addition to a wide variety of health services, provided by a selection of physicians with recognised experience and career professionals. The hospital has new, modern and comfortable facilities and offers qualified personnel and provision for international patients.

The Hospital has also recently started a recruiting drive aimed at hiring 150 professionals in time for the opening.
