Woman from Murcia dies in boating accident in Jávea
She suffered propeller injuries after falling into the sea and later died in hospital

The emergency services received the alert at around 7.40pm, after the woman fell into the water and was struck by the boat’s propeller. She suffered serious wounds to her face and neck and went into cardiac arrest.
Paramedics managed to revive her during the transfer to Denia Hospital, but she went into cardiac arrest again on arrival and could not be saved.
The Guardia Civil has opened an investigation, although initial reports suggest it was an accident involving a rental boat. Friends of the victim jumped into the sea to rescue her and brought her back on board before heading towards port to meet emergency crews.
Earlier this summer, a 9-year-old boy and his aunt were badly injured when they were struck by the propellor of the uncle’s boat in La Manga del Mar Menor.
