Pilar de la Horadada extends free summer bus hours across the municipality
Fully accessible buses connect Mil Palmeras with Pinar de Campoverde throughout the summer months
Pilar de la Horadada's free bus service is running longer hours this summer, giving residents and visitors an easier way to get around the municipality without needing a car.
The town council introduced the free service back in May and it runs a linear route between Mil Palmeras and Pinar de Campoverde, calling at Torre de la Horadada, El Mojón and Pilar de la Horadada town centre along the way. Once the bus reaches the end of the line, it simply turns around and heads back in the opposite direction.
Winter timetables stick to morning services only, but between July 1 and August 31 the hours have been extended considerably, with buses now running from 9am right through to 7.40pm. It's worth keeping in mind that arrival times are approximate, so it's best to build in a little wading room if you're relying on a specific stop. Full details on routes, stops and timetables are available on the town council's website.
The service doesn't run on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays, so those days will need a different plan. All buses on the route are fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, making it a straightforward option for anyone looking to explore the municipality this summer.
