ARCHIVED - Jumilla ramps up bid for new health centre
The Mayor has once again requested a new Comprehensive High Resolution Centre be built in the Region of Murcia town

Jumilla Town Hall has again put forward for a new Comprehensive High Resolution Centre to be built in the municipality, one of a number of health improvements requested by the town mayor.
At a meeting of the Area V Health Council in Yecla on Thursday September 15, Juana Guardiola requested the centre earmarked for the north west of the region be constructed in Jumilla on land "which is already available, pending the regional government (CARM's) acceptance of the transfer".
She also called for more investment and space for the current health centre, improvements to waiting times, and demanded that the number of health professionals needs to be brought in line with other municipalities in the health area, "as the parameters are always lower in Jumilla".
Finally, the mayor highighted the need for paediatric called for the recovery of paediatric health service be reinstated at weekends.
