Caser Residencial Alameda renews its training partnership with Down Lorca
Participants will get practical training and real work experience at the Lorca care home

Caser Residencial Alameda in Lorca has renewed its collaboration agreement with the Down Lorca Association, continuing a partnership that dates back to 2017 and reflects the care home's commitment to inclusion and social integration.
Under the agreement, participants in the SEPAP programme (Service for the Promotion of Personal Autonomy) will carry out practical training at the centre from October to June. It gives them a taste of a real working environment and the chance to build skills in areas such as laundry, table setting, room service and maintenance.
The idea is to create opportunities that encourage autonomy, learning and personal development, with more inclusive workplaces where everyone can contribute their talents and grow professionally.
Down Lorca is a non-profit association working across the Lorca area that brings together people with Down syndrome and intellectual disability and their families. It's accredited by the Ministry of Health and Social Policy of the Region of Murcia and is a full member of the Down Spain Federation. One of its main aims is to help people with Down syndrome and intellectual disability achieve the greatest possible independence, autonomy and full inclusion, so they can lead lives that are as normal as possible, with family, school, social and working integration, and be happy and fully accepted.
Caser Residencial Alameda is a care home for dependent older people, set in the Alameda, a quiet and attractive residential area just five minutes from the historic, monumental and commercial centre of Lorca. The centre is divided into different care areas and staffed by a highly trained and motivated transdisciplinary team, offering social, healthcare, rehabilitation and preventative care.
That specialist team, along with the well-maintained equipment and the quality of its services, makes the home a pleasant and welcoming place to live. The spacious, bright facilities include large garden areas designed for residents to enjoy, and there's also a Psychogeriatric Unit for the specialised treatment of specific mental health problems.
