January 24 FAST health, wellness and recruitment fayre in Camposol
A morning of live music, CPR demonstrations, stalls and community information at Casa Club Camposol
A health, wellness and recruitment fayre is coming to Camposol this weekend, with local first aid group FAST (First Aid Support Team) inviting everyone to enjoy a lively morning of entertainment and lief-saving information.
The event takes place on Saturday January 24, from 10am to 2pm, at the Casa Camposol Golf Club, Sector C, Camposol, and promises something for everyone, from live music and demonstrations to stalls, refreshments and practical health advice.
Visitors can enjoy a varied programme of entertainment throughout the morning, including an interactive chair yoga session, live performances by the Harlequin Rock Choir and CPR demonstrations showing how fast, effective action can save lives.
These hands-on demonstrations are designed to be informative, accessible and reassuring, particularly for those who may feel nervous about first aid.
Alongside the entertainment, the fayre will feature a wide range of stalls selling handmade crafts, jewellery, gifts, home baking, beauty and wellness products, as well as a psychic medium offering readings on the day. There will also be opportunities to enjoy holistic therapies such as massage and pedicures.
FAST volunteers will be on hand throughout the event to explain the vital work the team carries out across Camposol and the surrounding area. Visitors can learn more about becoming a FAST responder, joining the fundraising team or supporting the organisation as a committee member.
Information will also be available on FAST initiatives including defibrillator training, the Red Folder scheme, Nolotil awareness and upcoming trips and events.
Several local businesses, charities and community groups will also be represented.
The event is open to everyone, and FAST hopes it will not only be fun but also encourage more residents to get involved with a service that plays a crucial role in emergency response within the community.
