Change in notifications procedure for Camposol
There is a new procedure for the collection of notifications regarding Mazarrón Council taking over responsibility to complete the public elements of the Camposol urbanisation
Due to staff shortages at Mazarrón Council which are delaying the ongoing procedure of distributing the notifications regarding the council takeover of responsibility to complete the public elements of the Camposol urbanisation, the Camposol Business Association and AVC residents’ association have volunteered to step in and help out.
The new procedure starts on Thursday January 23 and will see the documentation being made available for collection at the Compusurf office on Camposol B Commercial Centre and the Camposol Social Centre, Sector B, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 1pm in street order (as below).
To collect your documentation, you or your proxy will need to provide your NIE/DNI number.
Documentation will be available at the two collection points as follows:
Compusurf Office
- Calle Arboleas
- Calle Ciclamen
- Calle Fiñana
- Calle Helecho
- Calle Lavanda
- Calle Sierra de la Torrecilla
Camposol Social Centre
- Avenida de los Covachos
- Calle Abrucena
- Calle Adra
- Calle Alcontar
- Calle Abánchez
- Calle Albizia

- Calle Bedar
- Calle Berja
- Calle Cantoria
- Calle Conifera
- Calle Cueva del Peliciego
- Calle Cueva de Almanzola
- Calle Ermita de la Hornea
- Calle Ermita Penicas
- Calle Fresno
- Calle Jara
- Calle Púnica
- Calle Tamariz
- Calle Trua Ermita de la Hornea
- Calle Virgen de la Cabeza
In addition, all uncollected notification documents for properties on Sector A will be available for collection at the Social Centre on the days and times mentioned above.
It is hoped that the procedure will have progressed sufficiently by February 13 to start the availability of documentation for Sector C.
The notifications procedure is a legal requirement for the takeover process and is a process similar to a recorded delivery letter, in which homeowners sign for a copy of the section of the minutes of the Mazarrón Council’s governing board meeting where the approval of the change of management system for Sector A of the Camposol urbanisation was approved.
Signing for the document does not infer that the homeowner either accepts or rejects the content; it is simply part of the legal process of informing owners of the decision approved by the Council.
The council stressed that the notification procedure was free to the homeowners and no charge or fees would be asked for. They added that anyone asking for money in return for the notification letters should not be given the time of day.
The change of management system for Sector A and Sectors B, C, D and F of the Camposol urbanisation is the initial public step towards changing the system of management from the compensation system, which was reliant on the now defunct developer Justo y Manoli SL a subsidiary of conglomerate Grupo MASA, to the cooperation system which entails Mazarrón Council taking on the role of urbanisation developer and starting to plan the works required to complete all sectors of the development.
Fundamentally, changing the management system is the only viable course of action available which complies with Murcia regional urban planning laws. This action also ties in with the Camposol planning modifications announced by Mazarrón Council recently.
