ARCHIVED - Camposol 2025 Group offer assistance in Mazarrón Council’s budget participation vote

Help is at hand to overcome the language barrier and help those not familiar with the Town Hall website

A small team of volunteers are offering help and advice on the process of submitting votes in the current Mazarrón Council citizen budget participation scheme.

From the original 97 proposals submitted 36 have been validated: these are for projects spread across the municipality and those people eligible have 3 votes (obviously the volunteer team would hope that the 2 Camposol proposals put forward by residents will be favourably considered!).

Following on from the success in the first round of the process the group are offering assistance in negotiating the next round. If you would like to see new facilities on Camposol or any of the other proposals come to fruition, the only way to do that is to vote for them on the council website. Success can only be achieved with the participation of the residents and property owners.

So, what are the Camposol proposals? (Both are listed on page 1, fifth and sixth on the list, The list is in Spanish, translations are below)

1) Fifth on the list - Creating a safe exercise area for dogs in Camposol

Proposal Code: MZR-2022-4343

This proposal is to create a facility of this type in the Camposol urbanisation, with a closed area and activity devices for the enjoyment of both dogs and owners. The Camposol urbanisation has many family dogs. The exercise areas available for dogs are all in common areas of the urbanisation or the countryside. A bespoke facility that allows safe dog walking would be a major asset to the community, encouraging good behaviour and allowing owners to enjoy themselves.

2) Sixth on the list - To complete sports facilities on Urbanisation Camposol (Sector D)

Proposal Code: MZR-2022- 4341

Proposal to continue development of Council sports facilities (football court completed in 2020) on remaining council land designated for sports use (ED-3), with concrete surface, 2 Table tennis and other fitness equipment.

HOW TO VOTE

Use your computer or mobile device to log on to the Mazarron Council portal on this link mazarron.governalia.es

1) If you already have an account log in.

2) If you do not have an account follow the link to register, “Sign up” or Registrarse”.

3) Complete the requested details and submit.

4) You will then receive an email asking you to validate your request.

5) Once you have done that you will either be returned to the voting page or you can log back in using your new credentials.

6) Please share this information with friends or family that would like to see new facilities, hopefully in Camposol.

If you have a printer, it may be easier to print out this document before beginning the process. Please note that these instructions work on a PC or laptop, those using a phone or iPad may find they see different menus. This is because of the screen sizes. You may need to select the option from a dropdown menu.
