All-day parking in Torrevieja for less than a euro
A new September deal has slashed costs at Paseo del Mar car parks

Finding parking in central Torrevieja might not be easy, but it just got a whole lot cheaper. Thanks to a new agreement between the City Council and Telpark, drivers can now park for up to 12 hours in the Paseo del Mar car parks for just 99 cents.
The campaign, which covers all 575 spaces in the car parks, will run from September 8 until September 30 with no restrictions on days or times.
It’s a huge discount compared to the usual rate, which sits at €1.90 from Monday to Thursday and €2.35 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
To take advantage of the offer, drivers need to buy vouchers through the Telpark app, which already has more than 5.6 million users across Spain and Portugal. Passes are available in bundles of 5, 10 or 20.
Once a pass is bought, the system works automatically by reading the vehicle’s number plate on entry and exit, meaning no more tickets or manual payments. Users can also switch the registered number plate if they change cars.
There is another bonus too. Anyone who purchases a multipass ticket will receive a 30% discount on electric vehicle charging until December 31 in any Telpark car park in Spain. The company currently has more than 1,300 charging points nationwide.
Councillor for Economic Development Rosario Martínez said that the initiative was designed to “promote the local economy and facilitate parking for residents and visitors in the city centre, while contributing to reducing emissions derived from searching for parking and offering a flexible solution for those who come to the centre daily for work reasons.”
The campaign follows a chaotic summer evening in mid-August when traffic gridlock left dozens of drivers trapped for as long as two hours in the new Port car park. A combination of the Summer Parade celebrations and holiday crowds brought congestion to a standstill, with tempers fraying as cars queued with engines running and air conditioning blasting.
Officials hope this latest initiative will make central parking both cheaper and smoother for residents and tourists alike.
