San Miguel de Salinas launches a social media appeal to find homes for abandoned animals
Under the motto "Adopting is giving a second chance and receiving love forever", San Miguel is hoping to match the town's abandoned pets with the right families

San Miguel de Salinas council is launching a dedicated social media campaign to help find loving homes for abandoned and lost dogs and cats in the town.
The initiative, which will run across both Facebook and Instagram, is designed to give local animals greater visibility and encourage residents to consider adoption as their first port of call when looking for a new pet.
In the coming days, the accounts will start sharing detailed profiles of the animals currently looking for homes, including their individual stories, personalities and specific needs, giving potential adopters a proper chance to get to know them before making any decisions.
The council is hoping the campaign will help make meaningful connections between animals and the right families, rather than simply posting pictures and hoping for the best.
The initiative sits under the motto "Adopting is giving a second chance and receiving love forever", which neatly sums up what the council is trying to achieve. The focus is firmly on responsible adoption, making sure that animals find stable, caring environments where they'll be looked after for the long term.
If you're based in or around San Miguel de Salinas and think you might be able to offer a home to one of the animals featured, the best thing to do is follow the council's official social media pages and keep an eye out for updates as the campaign gets underway.
