New Councillor for Camposol announced in Mazarron Council reshuffle
Mazarrón Council responsibilities realloted following the passing of Councillor Silvana Buxton
Following the passing of Councillor Silvana Buxton on October 20, Mazarrón Council has announced a reshuffle of Council positions to reallocate Silvana’s departments of Councillor for Camposol and International Relations.Carmen Navarro Paredes has been announced as the new Councillor for Camposol and International Relations. These responsibilities are in addition to existing responsibilities as Councillor for Finance, Healthcare, Civil Protection and Municipal Emergency Service. Her background is in healthcare and emergency services.
Sra. Navarro also holds the position of Third Deputy Mayor and has a seat on the Council’s governing board (Junta de Gobierno). She has relinquished the departments of Environment, Natural Environment, which have been realloted to the new Councillor Jesús García Vivancos, who was sworn in at the October Council meeting and who also takes on the responsibilities of Councillor for Coastal Services, Employment, Training and Local Development.
