The new residential development, Corvera Hills Residences, is progressing along nicely as they move into its latest construction phase. It is also the only course in Spain to use Bermuda Río grass, a variety that remains green throughout the year and uses very little water. An automated irrigation system has also been installed, which only activates when sensors detect that the soil is actually dry, further reducing water consumption.
It is a quieter setting than many of the more developed coastal areas, with a slower pace of life. But it is only a short drive from Murcia International Airport and has good connections to Murcia city, local shops, and healthcare services. Because of the less built-up design, the homes are being used not just for holidays and retirement, but also for full-time living and remote working.
The long-term plan for the area is to create a complete community rather than just a housing development. Future plans include a shopping centre, a hotel, and a clubhouse with a restaurant. The idea is to give residents access to everyday services within the resort itself, while still being surrounded by open space and nature.
