Netflix to release docuseries about Carlos Alcaraz
A three-part documentary series showcasing the Spanish tennis star will be available worldwide from April 23
Netflix has announced the release of a new docuseries about Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz. Titled ‘Carlos Alcaraz: My Way’, the three-episode series will premiere globally on Wednesday April 23, giving viewers an intimate look at the youngest-ever world number 1 in the history of the sport.
The streaming giant confirmed the news this Monday, March 10, coinciding with Alcaraz’s appearance at the ATP 1000 in Indian Wells. The 20-year-old from Murcia had sparked speculation about the documentary last Saturday when he was spotted with a new tattoo on his right forearm featuring the date 23-4-25, a reference to the show’s premiere.
According to Netflix, the series will follow Alcaraz throughout the 2024 season, offering a deep dive into his career, achievements and personal life. Fans will not only witness his journey on the court but also gain insight into his experiences off it.
The 2024 season was a milestone year for Alcaraz, during which he claimed victory at the French Open and Wimbledon and secured a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Notably, he partnered with Spanish tennis legend Rafa Nadal in the doubles competition, adding another memorable chapter to his career.
With its global release, Carlos Alcaraz: My Way promises to bring fans closer to the rising star, showcasing his passion, dedication and the challenges he has faced on his journey to the top of the sport.
