ARCHIVED - Mazarron was the hottest place in Europe last week
The south of Murcia reached 29.1ºC last week, its hottest point for a November in more than two decades

The municipality of Mazarrón in the Region of Murcia officially registered the maximum temperatures at both the national and European levels last week on Thursday November 17, when thermometers reached as high as 29.1ºC.
This happened to coincide with the Fiestas del Milagro de Bolnuevo celebrations in Mazarrón, a special and unique local festival.
The maximum temperature registered last Thursday in the station of Mazarrón was the highest value in this area for a month of November in the last 21 years. Among the 10 highest values of maximum temperatures recorded in Spain, five were in the Region of Murcia.
The lowest temperature in Europe was -25.1ºC in Karesuando, in the north of Sweden.
This week is also expected to be sunny and not too cold, but temperatures are not expected to reach as high as 29ºC again.
