March 19 festivo in Murcia: These are the shops that are open this bank holiday
These are the shops that will be open and which will be shut on the public holiday this Tuesday

Every March 19, Spain celebrates the joint event of Spanish Father’s Day and the Catholic feast day of Saint Joseph, El Día de San José, and it is a public bank holiday or ‘festivo’ in the Region of Murcia.
Last year, this date fell on a Sunday but the Region of Murcia government decided not to move the holiday to the Monday March 20. This year, however, it falls on a Tuesday and March 19, 2024, will be a public holiday in the Region.
Later this month, there will be two more public bank holidays – on Thursday March 28 and Friday 29, for Easter weekend.
Some shops, supermarkets and malls will remain open for the holiday this Tuesday, while others will close. While it is always a good idea to contact the shops you plan to visit directly to check whether they will be open or not, here is a general outline of the main shops which will be open and shut in the Region of Murcia this Tuesday March 19:

- The Parque Almenara shopping centre in Lorca will be open as usual.
