Get the heating on: Bottled gas prices have dropped again across Spain
From November 18, the maximum price for butano gas canisters in Spain will be set at €15.46
With temperatures set to plummet across Spain this week there’s some great news for households: the price of a standard butano bottled gas cylinder has dropped by another 4% compared to the last review in September.
The maximum price for a gas canister will be set at just €15.46 from Tuesday November 18, marking the third consecutive price decrease in the last few months, just in time for the wintery weather.
Bottled gas prices are updated every two months on the third Tuesday and the review, up or down, is always based on three key factors: freight costs, the strength of the euro against the dollar and the price of raw materials.
This month we’re in luck. Even though raw materials have increased by 6.4%, this is offset by a 14.9% fall in transportation costs and the strengthening of the euro against the dollar, which rose by 0.23%.
