February is a bit of a no man’s land between Christmas and Easter but it’s also world-renowned as the month of love, a time when countless couples jet off for a romantic mini-break. But did you know that it’s also one of the cheapest months of the year to fly?
And for the intrepid traveller, Alicante-Elche is currently offering unbeatable offers that start from just 12 euros each-way. The latest sale showcases no fewer than 28 cities and 11 countries, all for budget-friendly prices coming in under 20 euros.
There’s an option for every holidaymaker, whether they’re looking to stay close to home, hit the snow-capped slopes or head for a bit of heat in Africa.
Spain
For those who prefer to stay within the Spanish borders, February offers a wide range of options at prices that are hard to beat. Ibiza becomes a quiet and affordable destination with flights for just 15 euros while Palma de Mallorca beats even this with flights from 12 euros.
Other attractive alternatives include Vitoria-Gasteiz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santiago de Compostela, Sevilla and Madrid, all available during the month of February for as little as 15 euros.
United Kingdom
The United Kingdom remains one of the most popular destinations from Alicante, thanks to the wide range of low-cost flights. London, one of the most desirable cities, is within reach for just 13 euros, while Manchester and Liverpool have flights from 15 euros.
Other cities such as Exeter, Bristol, Birmingham, Newquay, Norwich and Belfast complete the list with prices ranging between 15 and 20 euros.
Morocco
For travellers looking for a more exotic but equally close destination, Morocco has Tetouan and Marrakech on offer, two of the most popular cities with tourists, from just 15 euros each way.
Italy
Italy could not be missing from this list, with Venice starting at 15 euros, while Rome can be visited for 16 euros. Milan completes the offer with flights from 17 euros.
Portugal and France
Porto in Portugal has never been closer at only 15 euros while a flight to Lisbon will set you back 17 euros this month.
In France, there are flights to Toulouse from 15 euros, followed by Marseille at 18 euros and Paris, the city of love, at 20 euros.
Other destinations
Less touristy destinations for less than 20 euros in countries such as Sweden, Bulgaria, Germany and Croatia offer interesting options.
Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden are available for 16 and 17 euros, respectively. Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is around 17 euros, while in Germany, Frankfurt, Cologne and Bremen offer flights between 17 and 20 euros.
Finally, Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, closes the list with flights for 20 euros.
