Family of missing British man in Benidorm are deeply worried at disapperance
Family of John Hardy are "worried sick" after losing contact will him on December 14
John Hardy, a man from Belfast, was last in touch with his family on December 14, when he drove from Alicante to Benidorm. The sister of the missing person has stated that the family are now "worried sick" after losing contact with the man.
Mr Hardy’s sister continued to state that the family "need him home ASAP", and she hopes that her brother can "find someone and contact home" because "he never has [gone] this long without contacting anyone ever."
Mr Hardy, who is a father of two sons, left Britain for Spain two weeks ago. He was due home on December 18, but he did not board the flight. However, there have been possible sightings of John since December 14. A woman who sings in bars in Benidorm has claimed to have seen Mr Hardy on Tuesday December 17.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland are currently in contact with Mr Hardy's family, and are doing everything they can to help the situation. In a statement the police service said they "received a report regarding a man who is currently holidaying in Spain and who has not been in touch with family in recent days"
Furthermore, a Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesperson added: "We are supporting the family of a British man reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities."
