Body of foreign resident found floating in Águilas port
The corpse was pulled from the water on Wednesday afternoon

The lifeless body of a man was found on the afternoon of Wednesday October 15 floating in the waters of the fishing port of Águilas.
The grim discovery of a corpse drifting between a boat and the dock was made by a fisherman starting work at around 7.30pm.
"At first I thought it was a doll, but as I got closer I realised it was a person and I immediately notified the Guardia Civil," the man who raised the alarm explained.
Guardia Civil patrols, Local Police officers and Red Cross troops were quickly at the scene. While a post-mortem hasn’t yet been carried out, investigators believe that the victim is a resident of Águilas, a foreigner who is about 80 years old. He was reported missing the day before when he failed to return from a walk.
The post-mortem will be performed at the Institute of Legal Medicine but the Guardia Civil have confirmed that the body does not show any obvious signs of violence.
