Wet and windy all week: Spain weather forecast February 9-12
The rain should ease off in most parts of Spain as we approach next weekend

Temperatures expected on Wednesday February 11
This week in Spain will kick off like most others we’ve experienced since the middle of January: with an Atlantic front swooping in carrying widespread rain, occasional storms and very windy conditions. Despite this the temperatures should remain mild and even creep towards warm mid-week and the showers should ease off as we head into the weekend.
Monday February 9

Cloudy or overcast skies will dominate the start of the week, with especially heavy rain forecast in the extreme north and south of the country.
Daytime temperatures will vary wildly, barely hitting double digits in parts of central Spain but soaring to 21ºC or 22ºC in the likes of Murcia and Malaga.
Very strong gusts of wind are expected in high-altitude areas of northern and eastern Spain, with yellow warnings activated in Andalucia, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community.
Tuesday February 10

The Atlantic front will persist, bringing a mass of humid and relatively warm air for this time of year, resulting in cloudy or overcast skies and widespread rain across mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, while the Canary Islands should remain dry all week.
Temperatures will start to climb across the board and Tuesday night will be noticeably warmer.
Widespread warnings for wind remain in place.
Wednesday February 11

The skies will be dull and dark again on Wednesday with rain forecast in most parts of the country, although the showers should be lighter and more isolated along the eastern coast.
Both day and nighttime temperatures should inch up by another degree or two, hitting an unseasonably warn 26ºC in Murcia at the height of the day.
Thursday February 12

While there’s still considerable uncertainty about Thursday’s forecast, at the moment all the models are suggesting that the influx of humid maritime air will continue, accompanied by a slight drop in temperature and a temporary stabilisation of the weather conditions in the middle of the day.
Rain is still expected in most areas morning and evening, but we should see some bright, even sunny spells during the afternoon.
Nighttime temperatures will drop everywhere but the far south with the day itself remaining unchanged.
