Spar opens new supermarket in Mazarron Country Club
The retailer now operates around 250 grocery stores in the southeast of Spain
Residents of the 800 or so properties at the exclusive Mazarrón Country Club now have even more facilities on their doorstep with the latest addition of a Spar City supermarket.
The store, which spans 160 square metres of retail space, has a winery, pharmacy and perfumery as well as a wide array of dry, frozen and refrigerated food.
This week, the Cartagena cooperative Grupo Upper, which operates as Spar Sureste, has opened a second store in the Region, this one located in the Murcia neighbourhood of La Flota.
The retailer, which has four different styles of store in Spain – Spar City, Eurospar, Spar and Spar Express – has also announced even more openings during July and August in five provinces: Granada, Almeria, Albacete, Alicante and Murcia.
With these new additions, the Spar brand now operates around 250 stores in the southeast of Spain.
