September 15 Procession of the Virgen de los Dolores in Aguilas
The official feast day of Our Lady of the Sorrows is in mid-September
The feast day of the Virgen de los Dolores is most often associated with the Friday before Good Friday, but curiously she is officially stated to celebrate her feast day on 15th September. This occasion is marked in Águilas by the procession of the figure of our Lady of the Sorrows, which this year sets out at 19.00 from the church of San José.
An open-air Mass will be held in the Plaza Montcada y Reixac at 20.15.
