British pop star to perform open-air concert at Málaga port in April 2025
Exciting news for music lovers and cruise enthusiasts alike: Robbie Williams is set to perform an open-air concert at Málaga port on April 9, 2025. This special event marks the christening of TUI Cruises' newest ship, the Mein Schiff Relax, where Williams will also take on the role of the vessel's 'godfather'.The concert is primarily for passengers aboard three TUI Cruises ships scheduled to dock simultaneously at Málaga's Levante quay. However, around 2,000 tickets will be released to the public, offering locals and visitors a chance to join this unique celebration. Details on ticket sales will be shared soon via the official social media channels of the Port of Málaga and the city council.
The Mein Schiff Relax, TUI Cruises' largest vessel at 330 metres in length, can accommodate up to 3,984 passengers. Emphasising gastronomy, the ship boasts fourteen restaurants and seventeen bars, including 'Fugu', a new Asian concept restaurant by Berlin's star chef Tim Raue. Notably, this will be the fleet's first ship powered by LNG, underscoring the company's commitment to sustainable travel.
This event marks the fifth time a cruise ship has been christened at the Port of Málaga, highlighting the city's growing prominence in the maritime tourism sector. Carlos Rubio, president of the port authority, described the occasion as "historic for the city and the company."
