Mayor of Mazarrón Gaspar Miras announces improvements to the public street lighting infrastructure in Camposol and the Puerto de Mazarrón
At a press conference held on Friday March 10, Mayor of Mazarrón Gaspar Miras spoke about the Mazarrón Council’s Junta de Gobierno (Governing Board) meeting held earlier in the day he explained "today's Governing Board has been fundamentally dedicated to taking care of families and people who need it most, improving the safety of our streets, improving sports facilities, improving the investigation of our marine cultural heritage, prepare the San José festivities to the satisfaction of our neighbours and provide Puerto de Mazarrón with a panoramic elevator on the Paseo del Peñasco”.
The Mayor went on to announce “work to repair public lighting in various roads of Puerto de Mazarrón and Camposol”.
An announcement has been made by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, in reference to a proposal made by the Mazarrón Councillor for Industry, Plácida Gómez, to start work on the repairs and improvements of the public streetlighting infrastructure of the Camposol urbanisation, a proposal which was approved.
Street lighting has long been a bone of contention for the residents of the Camposol development and at a public meeting held on February 8. The Mayor stated that Camposol would be included in the upcomming overhaul of the streetlighting infrastructure for the whole municipality.
This news follows recent news on the progress of the contract for the asphalting of the main dual carriageway through sectors C and D of the urbanisation.
