Mazarrón Councillor announces that the process for drafting and costing of the project is now back on track
Ginés Campillo, Councillor for Infrastructures and Deputy Mayor of Mazarrón, has reported on the status of the processing of an important part of “Mazarrón Urbano”, the road redevelopment plan that the council presented last May and with which it intends to change the image of the municipality. Specifically, the Councillor has announced that the last Government Board meeting agreed to put out to tender the drafting of the road adaptation projects in the municipal area.
This contract contemplates the comprehensive improvements of the streets Mar Báltico, Mar Cantábrico, Mar Marmara, Mar Adriatic, Mar Philippine, Río Mundo and Río Taibilla in Bahía Urbanisation; Trafalgar and Deposito calles in the San Isidro neighbourhood; and the Avenida de los Covachos de Camposol. It is a procedure that the Mazarrón Town Council began in February of this year. However, the Association of Technical Engineers of Public Works filed an appeal against the contract specifications, delaying the adjudication process until now.
Once the tender is published on the State Contracting Platform, as Ginés Campillo explained, this week there will be a period of 15 days for the presentation of offers and a period of 5 months for the presentation of the projects to the companies to be awarded the drawing up of the works project. From there, the bidding process for the execution of the works will begin.
