article_detailPlaza de San Sebastián in Cartagena
The Plaza de San Sebastián is in the heart of the main urban shopping area of Cartagena and is a paved area between Calle Mayor and Calle Puertas de Murcia.
On first sight it is not immediately distinguishable as a defined plaza, but the moment the former Grand Hotel or monument to the Nazarenos who parade during the Semana Santa Easter week are mentioned, visitors will know exactly where it is!
This is often used as a staging point for celebratory events in the city, so it's normal to find Father Christmas or a festive postbox here during the Christmas season or a band during the summer festivals.
