Throughout the festive season the Casa del Belén in Puente Tocinos is holding an exhibition of “Belenes” or nativity scenes from all over Europe, containing a wide variety of traditions and expressions of religious feeling.
The nativity scenes created can be appreciated not only from an artistic point of view, but also for their religious, aesthetic, anthropological significance and the merit of their craftsmanship. The differences from country to country, and from culture to culture, are of particular interest, as are the numerous anachronisms in many of the representations!
The Casa del Belén is located at the corner of Calle Olivo and Travesía Torre in Puente Tocinos: click here for map.
