May 23 to 26 Hot Rally motorcycle and music festival in Santiago de la Ribera
Bike tours and live music including the original drummer of Thin Lizzy!
The 21st annual International Hot Rally is taking place in Santiago de la Ribera over the last weekend of May, featuring a range of motorbike- and music-themed activities and events.
The official opening is in the evening of Thursday 26th May, hosted by Santiago Campillo de Juan, before the rock and roll festival begins the following day with performances by Gatos Locos, Fever Band and Enma Rodriguez.
On Saturday the entertainment features drummer Brian Downey, a founding member of Thin Lizzy, Sharabia, Escorpiones Forever and Chorreton, while on Sunday 26th May the festival ends with live music from Los Dukes as all participants are invited to enjoy a giant paella.
At the same time, of course, the annual Bike Show is being held, while tours are being organized on Saturday to the Academia General del Aire and on Sunday in the town of San Javier.
Registration is free of charge, although those who wish to help out the organizers are welcome to do so by purchasing commemorative t-shirts and badges.

The municipality of San Javier has three main offices giving tourist information to visitors, as well as two information points. The tourist offices are located in Santiago de la Ribera, on the ground floor of the town hall in San Javier and at the start of La Manga. There is a tourist information point located in the San Javier Airport, as well as one at kilometre 12-13 of La Manga del Mar Menor.
Due to its location on the fringes of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean, San Javier has a period of intense summer tourism activity during the peak summer months, although it is popular with retirees of all nationalities out of peak season.
Tickets for the annual San Javier Jazz Festival can be purchased at the Festival office in San Javier Town Hall, Plaza de España.
