Joint police operation focuses on Camposol and Mazarron Town

Police operation in Mazarrón and Camposol ended with seizure of prohibited weapons and an arrest due to a warrant from the criminal court of Lorca

During the afternoon and evening of Thursday, February 29, a joint police operation was carried out by the Guardia Civil from Puerto de Mazarrón in collaboration with the Mazarrón Local Police to ensure citizen security by monitoring personal documentation, vehicle status and public establishments in the municipality of Mazarrón.

Specifically, the officers were deployed in the residential core of Camposol, as well as in the centre of the municipality.

Among the results highlighted were:

Approximately 25 people were identified whose documentation including police records were not in order or were in possession of prohibited substances or weapons, etc.

One arrest was made due to a judicial warrant, search order and none appearance before the judicial authority, in this case the issuing body being the Criminal Court of the Municipality of Lorca, as the individual had multiple criminal records and had a pending case with the justice administration.

Arrests were made for the seizure of prohibited weapons.

Mazarrón Local Police issued the following statement "These security operations promoted by the Local Police Headquarters have been carried out with the full involvement of all police forces and collaborating organisations and institutions, who acted once again with great professionalism and willingness to improve public safety in the town."
