How long and how much it will rain this week: Murcia weather forecast April 22-28
We’ll get some rain at the start of this week before the glorious sunshine returns (for a while)
The Region of Murcia will get some much-needed rain this week, but only for a couple of days before the sunshine returns for most of the rest of the week. As next weekend approaches, though, the forecast is a little more uncertain…
Monday April 22 will be stormy with rain in the afternoon and evening sweeping in from the west, from across the Spanish peninsula. It will most affect the west and north of Murcia, but Cartagena and the Mar Menor area will also get rain.

It will rain all night and into Tuesday morning, April 23, but that’s pretty much all for the next few days. While a little bit of rain is better than none, and better than having an enormous deluge all at once that would cause flooding and damage. But after the dry winter and spring we’ve had so far and the lingering threat of drought for the coming summer, what would be best is if it rained softly and steadily all week long.

Alas, that’s not going to happen this week. Instead, from Tuesday afternoon onwards, it’s going to be the usual mix of sunshine and some cloudy patches. No excessively strong winds are forecast for the week.

Temperatures for the rest of the week will be stable, with minimums at night-time around 7-11ºC and maximums during the day getting up to 20-25ºC, not the highs of over 30ºC that we’ve had on isolated days in the last week or two.
Then, on Friday 26 there may be a shower or two in the far northwest of the Region before, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28, some light showers are forecast to move back across the entire Region – finally some gentle, persistent rain just like we need!
