Explore Spain by train this summer for as little as five euros
Renfe is offering super cheap tickets for kids to several destinations in Spain during June, July, August and September
Spain’s leading railway company Renfe is offering unbeatable value for train travel this summer, with one-way tickets now on sale to dozens of different destinations for just 5 euros. But you’ll have to be quick, as the offer is only available until Thursday June 13.
This mega sale is aimed at families travelling with children under the age of 14, so Renfe will match the price of kid’s tickets for the AVE (high-speed), Alvia, Intercity, AVE International and Euromed services to the single price of the Avlo (Renfe’s low-cost, high-speed service) trains at the basic rate.
The offer is valid for travel between June 28 and September 8 this year.
Conditions
Tickets for children from 0 to 13 years old are priced at 5 euros with the basic fare on Avlo services, with a maximum of two children under 14 years of age for each adult traveller aged 18 or over.
On AVE, Alvia trains, Euromed and Intercity trains, under 13s will be charged 5 euros for a ‘Basic’ ticket and 12 euros for the ‘Choose’ option; the maximum age limit is 11 years on French domestic routes on AVE International.
Finally, the discounted tickets can’t be purchased by themselves – they must be booked at the same time as an adult fare by clicking ‘Renfe Contigo.’
Visit the Renfe website to find your cheap train fare.
