Cold snap descends on Spain: Weather forecast November 6-9
The cold will intensify in Spain from Thursday onwards with temperatures dropping by as much as 10ºC

Temperatures expected on Saturday November 8
Up until now, November has felt decidedly spring-like for the most part, but it looks like mother nature has finally got the message that it’s winter. Over the next few days, temperatures will plummet across Spain, and many areas can expect driving rain, bracing breezes and even some early frost over the weekend.
Thursday November 6

Daytime temperatures have risen this week thanks to southerly winds that have pushed in fronts, and the evenings have remained mild due to abundant cloud cover. However, this Thursday the thermometers will plummet by up to 10ºC.
In the eastern interior of Andalucia, the mercury will fall by about 6-8ºC. In the Pyrenees, northeast Guadalajara, and the mountain ranges of Albacete, Jaén and Granada, Thursday could be 10ºC cooler.
The highest temperatures, generally around 20-24ºC, will be found in southern Andalucia, along the Mediterranean coast, and in the Canary Islands.
Most of Spain will be cloudy or overcast, with some clearings expected in the afternoon. The rain will be particularly heavy in the northeast and the Balearic Islands.
Orange rain alerts have been activated in the Balearics, Galicia and Catalonia while Andalucia, Asturias and Cantabria are under yellow warnings for rough seas.
Friday November 7

The arrival of a new front will bring cloudy or overcast skies with widespread showers, less frequent and weaker in the far southeast of Spain, along with thunderstorms inland.
Daytime temperatures will continue to fall in the Balearics and in the centre of the country, but the thermometers should inch up everywhere else. Friday night, however, will be noticeably cooler than previous days.
Saturday November 8

The front will begin to move on Saturday morning, bringing increased instability to the east of Spain and the Balearic Islands, while at the same time, high pressure moves in from the west.
All this will combine to create a very dark and dreary start to the day, although there should be plenty of clear spells later in the afternoon across large areas of central and southern Spain. Widespread rain is expected, though the southwest should remain dry.
Daytime temperatures will drop in most parts.
Sunday November 9

Sunday, thankfully, should be much brighter, sunnier and more settled across the board after a thundery start in the Balearics. However, the skies will begin to darken again late in the afternoon with the arrival of a new front from the west.
The mercury should nudge up by a couple of degrees, particularly along the Mediterranean coast.
