Health company announces the new Camposol private hospital will be open before the summer
Mederi Salud, the company behind the construction of the new Hospital del Guadalentín located in the Camposol urbanisation, have announced that it expects the new hospital to open before the summer.
The Mederi Salud Hospital del Guadalentín is situated next to the Camposol (national health) medical centre and Camposol business centre between Calle Madrid and Calle Jerez de la Frontera on land that was made available by Mazarrón Council and purchased by the Mederi Salud group, who made public the plans to build the hospital in June 2022 and started construction of the hospital a month later in July 2022.
The new facility will offer 24 hours emergency service, 365 days a year with a wide variety of medical specialties and medical services. Surgical area with four operating rooms equipped with the latest cutting-edge technology. Two hospitalisation floors with 36 admission beds. A team of top-notch medical professionals that will guarantee the best care available and an international patient care department.
The Mederi Salud group will have invested 11 million euros in the new hospital, which is expected to provide essential medical services for the Mazarrón municipality as well as other catchment areas. It will also have an economic impact on a services, transport and supplies level and create 80 direct jobs and 250 indirect jobs for the local area.
While the hospital will be designated for private patients it is not unusual for the regional health authority to refer treatment under the regional healthcare provision to private hospitals where demand and waiting lists for certain procedures are excessive.
