Autumn breaks, winter sun and trips home: Getting to Corvera Airport made easy
From Torrevieja and La Zenia to La Manga, Mazarrón and Mojácar, Airport Buses offers convenient connections to Murcia International Airport

The suitcases might only just have been unpacked after the summer holidays, but for many people living along the Murcia and southern Alicante coast, thoughts are already turning to the next trip. September brings a welcome change after the long, hot summer, with quieter resorts, more comfortable temperatures and plenty of opportunities for autumn breaks, winter sun and trips back to the UK to see family and friends.
Of course, every holiday has one part that isn't quite so exciting: getting to the airport.
For people living along the coast, travelling to Murcia International Airport can mean arranging a lift, paying for a taxi or dealing with airport parking. And if you're travelling with several people and a pile of luggage, the journey can become a logistical nightmare before the holiday has even started.
That's where Airport Buses can take some of the hassle out of the journey. The dedicated airport shuttle service connects Murcia International Airport with towns and resorts across the Region of Murcia as well as the southern Costa Blanca, offering an affordable way to get to and from the airport without having to arrange separate transport.
One of the biggest advantages is that Airport Buses meets every direct UK and Irish flight to and from Murcia International Airport, so passengers can book a service designed around their flight rather than hoping to find a convenient connection.
There are three main routes covering a huge area.
The La Manga route covers La Manga, Cabo de Palos, Playa Honda, La Manga Club, Los Belones, Mar de Cristal, Los Nietos and Los Alcázares, as well as several communities and golf resorts around the Mar Menor.
Further west, the Vera route connects the airport with locations including Águilas, Mazarrón, Puerto de Mazarrón, Mazarrón Country Club, Camposol and Condado de Alhama, as well as coastal locations towards Vera and San Juan de los Terreros.
Please note, from Sunday 25th October, 2026 this route will be changed. You can check out the new schedule here.
The Mojácar route provides connections between the airport and the Almeria coast, including Mojácar, Turre, Los Gallardos, Alfaix, Antas, Albox and Huércal-Overa.
For passengers who haven't used the service before, it's worth checking the exact pick-up point before travelling. Airport Buses recommends locating your stop at least a day in advance so you know where you need to be and can allow enough time to walk there with your luggage.
Passengers should arrive at their designated pick-up point five minutes before the scheduled departure time. As the buses operate according to pre-booked passengers and stops can vary depending on bookings, the service can't wait for passengers who are late.
The service also aims to make travelling easier for passengers who need additional assistance. Anyone travelling with a disabled passenger can contact Airport Buses in advance so the team can make the journey as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
With autumn now approaching, there are plenty of reasons to start thinking about the next trip. Whether you're planning a September city break, escaping the Spanish winter for some sunshine or booking a Christmas visit to family in the UK, getting the airport transfer sorted early means one less thing to worry about.
Seats can be booked up until 13:00 CET on the day before travel, so once the flights are booked, it makes sense to arrange the journey to the airport too.
For full details of routes, pick-up points and flights, visit the Airport Buses website and check the service available from your area.
