Get fit and have fun with the Camposol Free Community Sports March events
After a fun packed February even (if it was a bit chilly at times!) participants enjoyed some great events, free for the Community organised through the Camposol Free Community Sports facebook page.
Special thanks go to the organisers of the Mazarron mine tours for putting so much time and effort into organising part 1 of their Mazarron program, which saw over 70 people taking advantage of this epic local walking tour over 3 trips. Part 2 of the program is taking place throughout March and is being advertised now.
All of these visits are perfectly organised, full of factual and historic information with views of the local countryside that will take your breath away!
Special thanks also to the “Exploring Murcia and beyond by Ebike” organiser. If you’re not subscribed you should be, regular bike rides are also arranged and guided tours of the local area, this is a great event which is also perfectly organised and very, very popular, with the action posted on You Tube. Participation is made even easier by Sunshine Cycle Hire who offer discounts to any bikes hired from them for this event.
Not only do you get a discount on bicycle hire, a great tour of the local area and a stopoff at a bar/restaurant midway, you also get the opportunity to be on You Tube, so your family and friends back in the UK can all see how much fun you're having here in Spain!
This is all entirely free of charge, due to the time and effort put in by local volunteers who not only love what they do but also want to share the experiences they create with others.
Petanca is a local sport that’s really taken off here on Camposol: there are numerous opportunities to play and you are never very far from a petanca court that will have been built and installed by volunteers in the community.
Camposol's first Petanca league has recently been organised: keep your eye on the Camposol Free Community Sports facebook page for matches, competitions and events.
There are also walking football sessions taking place most days at the Sector D 5 a-side football pitch and lots of other events that pop up from time to time that are free to join and participate in.
