ARCHIVED - April 22 Los Santos Inocentes at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Aguilas
Classic Spanish drama at the seafront auditorium in Águilas
Los Santos Inocentes (The Holy Innocents) by Miguel Delibes has been recognized as one of the greatest Spanish novels of the 20th century and has been transported to stage and cinema with great success.
In just 250 pages the novel of Delibes creates a complete world which strikes a chord with Spain in the middle of the 20th century as well as placing human nature itself under the microscope. The 1984 film version features Alfredo Landa and one of Águilas’ favourite sons, Paco Rabal, whose performances led to them sharing the Best Actor award at that year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The stage performance in Águilas on April 22 begins at 20.30 with admission priced at 20 and 25 euros. Tickets are available online here, or alternatively from the Museo Arqueológico, the Casa de la Cultura and at the auditorium box office in the two hours before the show begins.
