April 10 The Region of Murcia Symphony Orchestra at the seafront auditorium in Cartagena
Music by Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky at the Auditorio El Batel in Cartagena
The Region of Murcia Symphony Orchestra (OSRM) returns to the Auditorio El Batel in Cartagena on Friday 10th April under the baton of its first ever conductor, José Miguel Rodilla, this time to perform works by Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky.
The two Works by Felix Mendelssohn are the Hebrides Overture (subtitled Fingal’s Cave) and his Scottish Symphony, both of which were inspired by a trip to Great Britian. In between them on the programme is Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto Opus 35, featuring soloist Joaquín Pall Palomares as he performed a work which was written for the great violinist Adolf Brodski as a challenge, and was first performed in 1881.
The concert begins at 20.00 and tickets are available online here for 15 euros.
