Andalucía weekly weather forecast December 22-28: Cool, cloudy skies with the odd shower and frosty nights
Cloudy days with a few light showers, wintry upland touches and some brighter, milder moments along the south and Mediterranean coasts
A generally colder and rather cloudy spell is on the way for Andalucía, with some light showers, a few wintry flurries over higher ground and frosty nights inland. Coastal areas stay a little milder, while the interior feels much chillier, especially first thing in the morning.Monday December 22
Andalucía weather forecast, Monday December 22Mostly cloudy with a chance of light, occasional showers on the Atlantic side, especially over the hills inland from Huelva. The snow line starts around 700–800 metres before lifting during the day. Daytime temperatures hold steady along the coasts, while inland around Jaén it turns colder with light to moderate frost overnight.
Tuesday December 23
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday December 23Cloudy or overcast with moderate rain, becoming heavier throughout the day. The snow level rises to about 1,000–1,200 metres over the sierras. Temperatures lift a little in the western half, including both Cádiz and Seville, though it still feels cool, and winds are light to moderate from the west or northwest.
Wednesday December 24
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday December 24Partly cloudy in the west and along parts of the Mediterranean, with brighter spells developing near Málaga, while inland areas such as Córdoba keep more cloud and the odd light shower. Frost remains possible at dawn in nearby higher ground, but afternoon values rise into the high teens along some southern shores.
Thursday December 25
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday December 25Christmas Day looks fairly quiet with partly cloudy skies and just a small risk of an isolated light shower near Almería or over higher ground around Granada. Frost lingers in the mountains, though daytime temperatures are similar or a touch higher, especially towards the Mediterranean side, and light, variable winds help any sunshine feel reasonably comfortable for late December.
Friday December 26 to Sunday December 28
Although the forecast this far ahead is by no means certain, Andalucía is expected to see a mixed winter weekend with cool temperatures and some unsettled spells.
Friday December 26 is likely to be cool and mostly cloudy across much of the region. Some areas may see light rain or passing showers, especially in western provinces and along the Atlantic coast.
Saturday December 27 should bring slightly more settled conditions. While cloud will still be fairly widespread, there should be brighter spells at times, particularly in eastern parts of Andalucía. The risk of rain looks lower than on Friday.
By Sunday December 28, cloud is expected to increase again, with rain possible in some areas, especially during the morning. Conditions may improve later in the day, but temperatures will remain on the cool side for the time of year.
