Alicante weekend weather forecast June 26-29: Temperatures set to soar this weekend
Clear skies and rising heat across the Costa Blanca as Spain braces for its first major summer scorcher
Outlook on Saturday June 28
As Spain braces for its first widespread heat wave of the year, Alicante province is preparing for a sharp rise in temperatures over the coming days as well. While the most extreme conditions are expected further inland and to the south of the country, Alicante certainly won’t escape the heat.
Clear skies and soaring temperatures are on the cards heading into the weekend, with Saturday shaping up to be particularly intense.
Thursday June 26
Thursday will be mostly clear across the province. Nighttime temperatures will rise slightly or hold steady, while daytime highs remain largely unchanged.
Winds will be light and variable, though inland areas may experience moderate northwesterlies early in the day, shifting to an easterly breeze by afternoon.
Friday June 27
Another day of brilliant sunshine is forecast, with early morning temperatures dipping slightly or staying the same. Daytime highs will vary, climbing in some areas but falling in the south of the province.
Winds will again be light and changeable, becoming more consistent from the east by the afternoon.
Saturday June 28
Temperatures will climb sharply throughout Alicante, both during the day and at night. Skies will remain clear and a yellow weather alert has been issued for high temperatures along the northern coast from 1pm.
Winds will stay light and mostly easterly, increasing to moderate strength later in the day.
Sunday June 29
Expect clear skies, with some cloud cover developing in the northern interior during the day. Minimum temperatures will rise across the southern half of the province, while the north sees little change.
Daytime highs will stay steady overall, though coastal areas along Valencia may see a slight dip. Winds remain light and variable, trending easterly in the afternoon.

- Friday June 27: Min 19ºC; Max 34ºC
- Saturday June 28: Min 22ºC; Max 37ºC
