Corvera Airport kicks summer into gear with Asturias, Santander and Menorca flights
Spanish airline Volotea is increasing the number of seats from Murcia Airport to 45,000 this summer
This weekend just gone, the Region of Murcia International Airport recovered its flight connections with Spanish destinations Asturias, Santander and Menorca, operated by airline Volotea, as part of its gradual increase in flights for summer 2023.
Volotea, which was founded by an entrepreneur from Murcia, is putting 45,000 seats on sale from Corvera airport this summer, well above the 10,000 it put on sale in 2019.

They also announced last week that they were already putting tickets on sale for the Madrid and Barcelona flights that will start from Corvera Airport come December 2023.
“These new connections represent a very significant increase in the connectivity offer of the Region of Murcia International Airport, as in addition to covering the demand for direct flights to Madrid and Barcelona, they connect with the two major national airport hubs, which allow connections with a multitude of international and transoceanic flights,” said Airport operator Aena in a statement.
For this summer, the Region of Murcia International Airport has flight connections with 19 destinations, including nine cities in the United Kingdom and one in Ireland.
It was also announced recently that there would be a free shuttle bus service this summer between Murcia airport, Cartagena and the City of Murcia.
