The facility is situated in Sector A’s Parque Central (Central Park) opposite the Consultorio (medical centre) and can be accessed from Calle Jerez de la Frontera or Calle San Sebastián.
It is equipped with brightly coloured swings, slides, a see-saw, spring rocking horses, climbing frames and scramble nets. There is also a table and seating area, it is fenced off and has a child-friendly surface and it is available to infants and pre-school children accompanied by an adult.
Parents have been campaigning for a children’s play area in Camposol for nearly 20 years (indeed many of the children it would have been originally intended for have grown up and have children of their own!). Fortunately the cause was taken up by the Councillor for Camposol, Silvana Buxton, and the project was progressed through the Education, Parks and Gardens department of Mazarrón council.
